TRAINING FACILITIES
The Singapore Turf Club is one of the most progressive clubs in the world. It offers state of the art training facilities and veterinary care. Trainers are provided with training tracks, which provide a variety of surfaces to work horses. A new artificial all weather polytrack was completed in 2008, allowing trainers to use this surface in conjunction with grass and sand tracks. Currently under construction is a 1200m uphill track which should be completed by October 2009. Practice starting gates are available every morning to help educate young horses.
Cliff currently has a 34 box barn, and has applied to the club for extra boxes when they become available in October 2009 once construction of 400 new boxes is complete. Stables are air conditioned, providing for maximum comfort for horses. They are equipped with separate feed storage areas, sand rolls, day yards and walking machines, treadmills and the use of an equine pool is available to trainers.
The Singapore Turf Club offers state of the art veterinary facilities all located on the Kranji racetrack. The club has two operating theatres and the most modern equipment available. The veterinary department is staffed by veterinarians from around the world. Diagnosis and treatment of horses in available 24 hours and enables trainers to medicate and treat horses immediately.
